Shah Rukh v/s Abhishek this Xmas

This year will see the clash of a lot of big banner films at the box office. All thanks to the same release dates! Abbas Mastan's Players starring Abhishek Bachchan will hit the screen on the same day too.

Farhan Akhtar's Don 2, a sequel of Don is an action film, and the multi star cast Players too belongs to the action thriller genre. According to trade pundits, Don 2 already has a great buzz in the market and with the prequel being a super hit, the chances of Don 2 becoming a hit are positive. In such a case, whichever film shares the same release date may have to suffer poor collections.

Katrina Kaif edits Shahrukh Khan's Don 2 ‎

Katrina Kaif has always had a long-standing desire of contributing in some way to a film’s post-production. Well, her wish has been fulfilled, thanks to Farhan Akhtar.

Katrina and Farhan became friends while filming for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. She was particularly impressed by Farhan’s multiple talents: he is an actor, he has already directed a few films, and he can sing. Katrina, too, wanted to try her hand at something other than acting; Farhan helped fulfil that wish.

While editing Shahrukh Khan’s next film Don 2, which Farhan has directed, Farhan let Katrina edit a small portion.

Don 2 : Production

The idea for a sequel has been conceptualized ever since the first movie was released, and a sequel was announced by Farhan Akhtar shortly after the release. However, he was involved with other commitments while Shah Rukh Khan also gave his dates to the movies Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and My Name Is Khan. Recently, however, Akhtar revealed that the script and locations for the movie has been finalized.

Shooting for Don 2 began from October 10, 2010 in Berlin, Germany. Also, Shah Rukh Khan was asked to bulk up for the movie and to develop a six-pack.

As of December 2010, shooting has ended in Berlin, Germany and actors have returned to India. As of February 2011, the actors had been flown to Malaysia for the second phase of the shoot which lasted for a month. Filming in Malaysia ended on March 22, 2011. It is also stated that Farhan Akhtar will follow Don 2 with Don 3:The Chase Ends the third and final entry of the Don Series.

Don 2: The Chase Continues is an upcoming Hindi action thriller film directed by Farhan Akhtar. It is the sequel to the 2006 film, Don: The Chase Begins Again, which itself is a remake of the 1978 film Don.
